Tanglewood Legacy Fund gives $60K to 13 organizations

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – A local church is continuing their annual tradition of supporting organizations that benefit Ripley County residents.
The Tanglewood Baptist Church Legacy Fund is a nonprofit organization that provides grant-base funding to projects, events, and organizations that reflect Christian values.
The Legacy Fund distributed $60,140 to 13 different organizations on Wednesday, marking the largest disbursement of funds since the initiative began in 2024.
Here are the 2026 recipients:
Milan Cares Central Program: Funding for a summer camp serving 90 youth in the Milan school district.
Ripley County Historical Society: Funding for Wreaths Ripley County, this will help bring the wreath program to our county schools.
So Loved Closet: Assistance in meeting the demand for essential items for children in Ripley County.
Tanglewood Baptist Church Cemetery Association: Maintenance and upkeep of the Tanglewood Baptist Church building. Also, to preserve some of the gravestones in the cemetery's historic section.
Totes for Tots and Teens: Provision of necessary personal items for children in foster care, along with backpacks and school supplies.
Ripley County Historical Society: Help to maintain the historical society building, where archives are kept for people to view.
Tyson Methodist Church Back Door Friends of Faith: Support for providing personal care items to needy families in the South Ripley and Jac-Cen-Del school districts.
Versailles American Legion: Assistance for families in the South Ripley school district with items, food, and gift cards during Christmas.
Infamous Few Charity Riders: Assistance for families in Ripley County to help them with gifts for Christmas.
Safe Passage, Inc. - Funding to support comprehensive and supportive services for victims of domestic and sexual violence.
Child Evangelism Fellowship: Funding to help with Camp Good News.
South Ripley Community School Corporation - Funding to enhance the quality of care provided in our school nurse clinics by upgrading essential equipment and supplies.
Tyson Library Association – Provide funding to help obtain new computers for patrons to use.
