Top goal scorers in Indiana are from Franklin County, Oldenburg

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – The top two goal scorers in Indiana girls soccer reside in our area! 

Franklin County sophomore Anabelle Wiesemann leads the entire state with 24 goals. 

Wiesemann and the Wildcats are 6-0 on the season and have outscored their opponents 38-2. 

She will have to keep the goal streak going if she doesn’t want to be passed by a player from a neighboring school! 

Oldenburg junior Claire Niese is currently second in Indiana with 23 goals. 

Niese does hold the top position in one category, as she leads the state in points scored with 52. Wiesemann is in second place with 49! 

The OA player had a dominating performance last week with 14 goals and four assists. 

Niese is no the all-time goal and assists leader in Oldenburg Academy girls soccer history. OA is 7-0 on the season and have outscored their opponents 52-2.
