Two volleyball players up for Indy Star player of the week

(MILAN, Ind.) – Two local volleyball players are being recognized statewide for their recent efforts on the court. 

Milan junior Caroline McMillan and South Ripley senior Claire Samples have both been nominated for Indy Star Volleyball Player of the Week. 

McMillan notched 22 kills, 6 aces, 13 digs and two blocks in two games to help the Indians beat Jac-Cen-Del and Switzerland County last week. 

Samples had three blocks, 27 kills, 33 digs and an ace in three games against Madison, Scottsburg and Rising Sun.
