(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – This is 812 owner Steven Harmeyer and first off, thank you for your continued support over the years!
I wanted to share that I plan to take a brief break from The 812 for a week or two.
I am doing this so I can step back from the “news of the day” for a brief period of time in order to focus on The 812 in the long-term.
My preference is to not talk about myself, however I wanted to make it known so people weren’t wondering what happened or why stories weren't getting covered.
This is the first time I’ve not covered news daily on The 812 since it was created in 2021.
The mission of The 812 has always been to cover the positive stories of people and places in Southeast Indiana. Of course, not every single story is positive but that mission has remained for the past five years.
It’s a passion that goes beyond local news as I have seen how it can help others during difficult times.
I often tell others that the best parts of The 812 are what the public never sees. I don’t do this for clicks or likes – My main goal is to use this to help others.
The support you have shown has been wonderful and I am very grateful to each of you.
Feel free to share thoughts or feedback on what you would like to see from The 812 in the future by emailing news@812now.com . I appreciate all feedback and ideas.
Thank you!
-Steven Harmeyer
