Versailles fire chief named Indiana Fire Chief of the Year

(NOBLESVILLE, Ind.) –Longtime Versailles Fire Chief Ben Sieverding has earned a statewide honor.
He’s been named the Indiana Volunteer Fire Chief of the Year at the Indiana Fire & EMS Leadership Conference in Noblesville.
Sieverding entered the service with the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department in 1980.
He became the Versailles Fire Chief in 2009 and has become a well-known and respected figure in the fire service in Southeast Indiana.
He has served on numerous boards and committees and has instructed countless firefighters who are joining the service.
During the conference, he was also elected to the Indiana Fire Chiefs Association Executive Board as third vice president.
