(OLDENBURG, Ind.) – A well-known Oldenburg restaurant is going above-and-beyond to show their support on Veterans Day.
Daniel Saccomando is the owner of Wagner’s Village Inn and is also a Navy veteran.
“I can't stand the nickel-and-diming restaurants do on Veterans Day. Whatever the hell you want, it's on me,” Saccomando said.
On Tuesday, veterans can eat entirely for free and alcohol will be just 50 cents for veterans. The restaurant can’t legally give away free alcohol.
Saccomando added that non-military members are also invited and they can buy a beer for a Veteran as a way to say thank you.
Wagner’s Village Inn is known for their pan-fried chicken and earned the prestigious James Beard Award in 2023.
The restaurant is located at 22171 Main Street in Oldenburg and their hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
