(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Greensburg Junior High School held the Polar Plunge fundraiser on Thursday.
It was the only middle school in Indiana that was given an opportunity by the Special Olympics to host the event this year.
Polar Plunge was organized by Greensburg School Resource Officer Brendan Bridges and they hoped to raise $5,000.
The event was so popular that they doubled their expectations and raised $10,000 for the Indiana Special Olympics.
Junior High and High School students who raised funds took a plunge along with several teachers from throughout the school corporation.
