Informed parishioners on Saturday

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – A local Catholic priest who has become known around the world will be moving to a new church.
Father Vince Lampert has been the priest of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Franklin County since 2018.
He has also traveled around the globe as he served as an exorcist for the church.
That ministry has taken him all over the globe and he has been featured on many international tv shows and podcast. He stepped down from that exorcism ministry last year.
Father Lampert informed parishioners on Saturday that he has been appointed as pastor of St. Simon Parish in Indianapolis.
“When priests are ordained, they promise obedience to their bishop and his successors. Therefore, with a heavy heart I accept the path the Archbishop has chosen for me and look forward to our remaining time together,” Fr. Lampert said.
His assignment at St. Michael’s and St. Peters will come to an end on July 2.
“Change is always difficult, and this is especially true the older I get. I have become very fond of serving here in Franklin County and ministering to all of you," he added.
He will be replaced by Father Santosh Yohannan who previously served at several local churches including Batesville, Millhousen, Napoleon and Osgood.
Fr. Yohannan currently serves as the administrator of two churches in Scottsburg and Salem.
