West Nile Virus detected in Ripley County

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – The West Nile Virus has been detected in mosquito samples in Ripley County, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
Ripley County Health officials say two pools tested positive for the virus.
The health department recommends taking precautions against mosquito bites to reduce the risk of disease caused by mosquito-borne viruses.
There have been no West Nile Virus cases detected in humans in Ripley County.
