World dulcimer performer to play in Batesville Saturday

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – An accomplished Dulcimer champion will have a concert in Batesville on Saturday.
Colorado resident Joshua Messick is described as one of the world’s premier hammered dulcimer performers.
Messick has performed thousands of concerts across the United States and internationally. His music blends folk, classical, Celtic, and world influences.
“He has released multiple acclaimed albums and has been featured on film, television, video game, and podcast soundtracks, including work with composer Bear McCreary on the soundtrack for God of War Ragnarök,” organizers said.
Audiences can expect an evening of musicianship, inspiring stories, and music that showcases the remarkable beauty and versatility of the hammered dulcimer.
It will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday at The Speakeasy Listening Room. Tickets are available here.
