3 flown from two-vehicle crash near Rexville

(REXVILLE, Ind.) – Three people were flown to hospitals after a two-vehicle crash in southern Ripley County on Tuesday.
The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on U.S. 421 and County Road 925 South near Rexville.
Investigators say a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Hailee Dowers, of Versailles, lost control on the slick roads and struck a pickup truck.
Dowers and a 15-year-old passenger in her vehicle were flown to a Louisville hospital.
The pickup was driven by Ronald Prosser who was flown to a Cincinnati hospital. A 16-year-old passenger in his vehicle was taken by ambulance to Kings Daughter Hospital in Madison.
Three of the victims were entrapped in the vehicle and had to removed by firefighters.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor of this incident.
The current conditions of the patients are not known.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by New Marion and Versailles fire departments, Indiana State Police, PHI Air Medical, Air Methods, UC Air Care, Ripley County EMS and Ripley County Communications.
