(SUNMAN, Ind.) – A new retail shop is blooming into a customer favorite in Sunman.
The Flower Farm is located at Kreuger Maddux Greenhouses. It’s open year-round and offers different plants according to the season.
“We’re one of the biggest perennial growers in the Tri-State area, so a lot of people don’t carry the kind of perennials that we grow,” said The Flower Farm manager Holly Floyd.
This time of year, the store is offering a large assortment of mums, pumpkins, fall annuals and perennials.
Some other items offered around the year are annual hanging baskets, specialty roses, unique mixed porch pots, and many more.
“We are also looking forward to the holidays as we’re one of the biggest growers of poinsettias in the Tri-State,” Floyd added.
The store manager says her favorite part of the business is the interactions she has with customers.
“When people come in and they request a plant, I can go get it for them, and it just makes their whole day,” Floyd said.
“Their happiness is just so contagious and it makes all the hours of effort worth it,” she added.
The Flower Farm has three different seasons. The summer season is April to July, the fall season is September and October and they are open about four weekends in the Christmas season for poinsettias.
Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Wednesday through Saturday during the fall.
