College softball player Melina Wilkison hosting youth camp this week

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Some young softball players are getting a chance to learn from a top player in the Big 10. 

Greensburg grad Melina Wilkison began her college softball career with Ohio State where she earned First Team Big Ten honors her sophomore year.

She just completed her one-and-only season at Indiana University where she posted a .329 batting average with 7 home runs, 41 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases.

Wilkison has entered the transfer portal and is hoping to make a decision soon. 

Despite a big decision ahead, she is taking time this week to serve as an instructor at the Youth Christian Athlete Softball Camp in Greensburg. 

She held a clinic for girls ages 7 to 12 on Tuesday and will host another for girls age 13-18 Wednesday. The clinic tomorrow is accepting last minute registrations and walk-ins by clicking here.

It’s held at Kingdon Dugouts which opened on April 1. It is located near the Chili’s Restaurant. The address is 2311 State Road 3 Suite #120 in Greensburg.
