(COLORADO SPRINGS) – A Colorado nonprofit is operating a food pantry with a unique twist.
The Southeast Food Coalition has a community refrigerator that is accessible 24/7.
It allows people to share or access food and was created as a way to fill gaps that are left by traditional food pantries.
It’s located in an area of Colorado Springs that is described as a food desert, with a lack of grocery stores in the area.
