Crews put out house fire in Batesville Sunday afternoon

Happened on Six Pine Ranch Road

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Three departments responded to a house fire in Batesville on Sunday afternoon. 

Crews responded to a report of a grill that had caught fire under a covered porch. It happened around 1:45 p.m. on Six Pine Ranch Road near Batesville Tool & Die.

Batesville Fire & Rescue said they responded within three minutes and that they found the fire coming from the back of the home. 

The department called for mutual aid from Oldenburg and Morris and the fire was brought under control a short time later. 

There were no injuries reported.
