Decatur Co. Democrats host annual Bobby Kennedy Dinner

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Decatur County Democratic Central Committee hosted the annual Bobby Kennedy Dinner on Tuesday.
The annual dinner honors the legacy of Robert F. Kennedy, who visited Greensburg during his presidential campaign in the spring of 1968.
Kennedy remains the last major presidential candidate to campaign in Greensburg, making his visit a memorable part of our community's political history.
"This year's gathering was an opportunity to reflect on Kennedy's legacy while also looking ahead to the important elections this November," organizers said.
More than 100 guests attended the evening's festivities, which included a cocktail hour, a delicious dinner, a silent auction, and, most importantly, a keynote address from former Indiana Governor and U.S. Senator Evan Bayh.
“In his remarks, Governor Bayh spoke eloquently about the importance of restoring checks and balances at the Indiana Statehouse and the critical role local elections play in our democracy,” organizers said.
He also emphasized the need to elect individuals of sound character and integrity—public servants who are motivated by a genuine desire to serve their communities rather than advance their own personal interests or political agendas.
The Committee added that Election Day is November 3 and encourages voters to make their voices heard.
