Fayette Co. candidate makes appearance on Piers Morgan

(CONNERSVILLE, Ind.) – The Fayette County Council candidate who went viral last week made an appearance on a national TV show on Monday night.

Jamie West gained national attention after a televised candidate forum where she appeared to be slurring her words and made several controversial remarks including she would “fire all Republicans” and said “We have guns too.”

Last week, she told the Connersville News-Examiner that she had one beer before the candidate forum.

West appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored Monday and admitted that she may have had a few beers before that forum.

“[I wasn’t] that intoxicated but know what I’m talking about when it comes to Indiana politics,” West told Piers Morgan.

Morgan asked if she wanted to retract any of the comments she made during the candidate forum.

“No, I say it all the time. I’m not friends with them. I don’t like them and they voted for everything that is happening to our country,” she said.
