Sheriff swore in new CIT members last month

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The community is invited to learn about the new Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) program through the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office.
An information meeting will be held at Greensburg Jr. High School at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 29.
The CIT is a specialized team of trained officers and special deputies who respond to individuals suffering from mental illness, substance use issues or another crisis.
This forum will allow the public to meet the team, hear about their plans to make the county safer, and how the team interacts with the community.
Do you know someone who might be struggling with mental health? The forum will also provide specific resources that are available.
Greensburg Jr. High is located at 505 E Central Avenue in Greensburg.
