A possible murder was claimed on the hoax call

(HIDDEN VALLEY, Ind.) - Nobody was hurt after a swatting incident in Hidden Valley on Tuesday night.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a potential murder in Hidden Valley and responded immediately.
It was determined that nobody was harmed as police confirmed it was a hoax.
For those who may be unfamiliar with the “swatting” term, it refers to someone who prank calls emergency services and claims a crime is occurring, resulting in a large presence of armed police officers at a certain home or location.
It is a practice that has been become somewhat common with well-known individuals across the country.
Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry did not elaborate on which home was targeted tonight.
"There is no immediate risk to anyone and we will continue to investigate the origin of the call," McHenry said.
Just this past weekend in Dallas, a police officer and a woman were injured in a crash while responding to a swatting call. You can read that story here.
