(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- An international nonprofit has awarded a $45,000 grant to the Margaret Mary Health Foundation.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) awarded the grant to support cancer care and future health and wellness initiatives at MMH.
It will be used to provide resources for patients and support future initiatives at the Margaret Mary Outpatient and Cancer Center.
The grant was presented during the F.O.E Annual Conference in Dallas earlier this month.
MMH Foundation executive director Johnathon Maple accepted the award.
“Philanthropy is about doing good, and that is exactly what the Eagles do. This generous grant will make a meaningful difference for our patients and our community, and we are excited to see the impact these funds will have in the years ahead,” Maple said.
Gary Weber, of Batesville, serves as the Grand Secretary of the F.O.E and presented the award to Maple. He said the organization is honored to provide the grant.
“Margaret Mary Health plays such an important role in our community, and we appreciate the care they provide to so many people. Supporting organizations like Margaret Mary Health is one of the ways the Eagles can give back and make a lasting impact,” Weber said.
The international F.O.E donates more than $10 million annually to various communities, fundraisers, charities and other causes.
