(CINCINNATI) – One of the coldest games in Paycor Stadium history didn’t stop family and friends from honoring a loved one on Sunday.
40-year-old Nick Thomas, of Lawrenceburg, was a reserve officer for the Lawrenceburg Police Department and was also a diehard Baltimore Ravens fan.
Thomas fought a long battle with cancer before passing away this past July.
Although Nick was a huge Ravens fan, he never had the chance to attend one of their games.
His wife, Christen and daughter, Ava, decided to organize a group trip for today's Ravens and Bengals game in his honor.
“My dad was the biggest Ravens fan and he never made it to a pro game so my mom made it possible for us to be here in his memory,’ Nick’s daughter, Ava, said.
The group consisted of 17 people including Nick’s immediate family, his two brothers and several friends.
