Fire destroys building at Decatur County sawmill

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A building was destroyed after a fire at a sawmill company in rural Decatur County early Tuesday morning.
Marian Township and Napoleon volunteer fire departments were dispatched around 4:30 a.m. to a property in the 2600 block of County Road 500 South.
Firefighters arrived to find the structure collapsed and on fire.
Additional departments were called as Letts, Westport and Greensburg firefighters also responded.
There were no injuries as the building was deemed a total loss. A photo provided by Marian Township Fire also shows a truck suffered extensive damage.
Altogether, first responders were on the scene for nearly 7 hours.
Other agencies that assisted included Decatur County EMS, Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, and Decatur County Communications.
