(MILAN, Ind.) – A fundraiser has been launched for a Milan woman who was seriously hurt in a crash in Decatur County.
34-year-old Brittany Richmond was driving on State Road 3 when a box truck rear-ended her vehicle in June. You can read that story by clicking here.
“The accident was so severe she had to be airlifted to IU hospital, and since then, nothing has been the same,” said her sister, Courtney.
Brittany is still unable to drive, passes out randomly and is dealing with several different medical issues from the crash.
“She has multiple appointments every day, and it’s been incredibly hard for her to care for her kids and keep up with daily life. On top of everything, she is scheduled for surgery next week, and now needs to be evaluated for POTS due to a high heart rate,” Courtney said.
The fundraiser will help the family with daily expenses and medical bills.
“I’m reaching out to our community for help. Everyone is in a tough spot right now, but together, we can make a real difference for my sister and her kids,” Courtney added.
