Greensburg social worker named to Centerstone of Indiana board

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) — A social worker in Decatur County is joining the board of directors for Centerstone of Indiana.
Desirae Moore serves on the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) at the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office and also provides counseling at the jail.
The Decatur County CIT program was launched last year and is a specialized group of mental health professionals and police who respond to individuals suffering from mental illness, substance use issues or another critical situations.
Moore will now also serve on the 15-member Centerstone board that will oversee their operations in Indiana.
Centerstone is the largest nonprofit behavioral health care provider in the U.S. and treats approximately 250,000 people who have mental health or substance use issues every year.
Centerstone employs more than 1,500 team members across 38 locations in Indiana.
"We have worked closely with our local Centerstone office and NAMI to support growth throughout Decatur County," Moore said. "Joining the Centerstone Board of Directors is an exciting opportunity to continue building these lasting impacts throughout our county, region and state."
