High speed chase that reached 115MPH ends in arrest of Cincinnati man

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Cincinnati man was arrested after a high speed chase on I-74 in Decatur County on Friday.
A Greensburg officer said he saw a vehicle speeding and pulled it over. When he was approaching the vehicle it allegedly sped away.
Police say the pursuit reached 115 miles-per-hour and went into Shelby County.
Officers deployed a tire deflation device and the vehicle came to a stop around Exit 101 in Fairland, police said.
The driver then allegedly fled on foot before being taken into custody.
21-year-old Eric Figueroa was arrested on charges of OWI, Possession of Narcotics, Reckless Driving and Resisting Arrest.
Greensburg Police were assisted by Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, Shelbyville Police, Indiana State Police and Decatur County Communications.
