IHSAA announces football sectional matchups

(ST. LEON, Ind.) – The IHSAA conducted the football sectional pairing show on Sunday night. 

The first round of Sectionals will take place on Friday, October 23. Here are the matchups:

Class 4A (Sectional #23)

• East Central will host Madison  (The winner will face Jennings County)

• Shelbyville will travel to Silver Creek (The winner will face the winner of Charlestown/Columbus East) 

Class 3A (Sectional #30)

• Lawrenceburg will travel to New Castle (Winner plays either Centerville/Greensburg)

  
  

• Greensburg will host Centerville (Winner plays either Lawrenceburg/New Castle)

  
  

• Franklin County will host Rushville (Winner will face either Batesville/South Dearborn) 

  
  

• Batesville and South Dearborn will face each other in Aurora (Winner will play either Rushville or Franklin County

Class 2A (Sectional #39)

• Switzerland County will travel to Mitchell (Winner will face either Eastern Pekin or Clarksville) 

Sectional 1A (Sectional #46) 

• Two rivals will kick off Sectional against each other. North and South Decatur will face each other at South.  (Winner will face Union County) 

• Milan will travel to Trinity Lutheran (Winner will face Edinburgh)
