Judge sets $1M bond for Dearborn Co. meth dealing case suspect

ree

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Dearborn County judge set a $1 million cash bond on Friday for a Cincinnati man arrested earlier this week.

38-year-old Troy Thomas was arrested Wednesday with approximately 118 grams of methamphetamine, prosecutors said.

The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department had been investigating Thomas for several months and say he sold meth to a confidential informant on September 24 and October 1.

Investigators say Thomas has a criminal history in Ohio that includes drug trafficking, robbery, and possession of controlled substances.

“My office is committed to aggressive prosecution of these kinds of cases in an effort to get drugs out of our community. I want to thank the Dearborn County Sheriff's Department for the good police work that went into making this arrest,” said Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens.

Thomas has been charged with three counts of Dealing in Methamphetamine and a Habitual Offender Sentencing Enhancement, due to his criminal history.
