Lawrenceburg senior overcomes injury to play 2 sports in college

Signing ceremony was held this week

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- A Lawrenceburg student is not letting a senior year injury be the end of her athletic career.

Kelsey Offutt suffered an ACL tear which brought her high school soccer career to an abrupt end this past fall.

Although she couldn’t take the field, Offutt was still a major part of the Lady Tigers success as the team won the IHSAA Soccer State Championship.

Following the state victory, the IHSAA presented her with the Class 2A mental attitude award.

A signing ceremony was held this week where Offutt committed to IU East where she will play both soccer and tennis.
