(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – An Ohio man was arrested after a police pursuit in Decatur County on Wednesday morning.

A Greensburg officer attempted to stop a vehicle near the intersection of State Road 3 and U.S. 421.

Police say the car was driven by 37-year-old Daoto Thomas who failed to pull over which led to a chase down State Road 46 toward Columbus.

Thomas allegedly turned off State Road 46 and came to a stop near South County Road 450 West.

Police say he exited the vehicle and tried to run. Thomas was eventually taken into custody and booked into the Decatur County Jail.

This isn’t the first encounter Thomas has had with law enforcement this year, according to a Dayton TV station.

He was allegedly involved in a five-hour standoff with police in Troy, Ohio, in January.

Law enforcement had showed up to his house because he had warrants out of the Cincinnati-area for Having Weapons Under Disability and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.

During the five-hour standoff, he allegedly threatened police officers and refused to surrender.

He remains behind bars in the Decatur County Jail this morning. Here is a mugshot from yesterday:
