Man convicted in Katelyn Markham's death now seeking early release

(HAMILTON, OH.) – The man convicted in the death of an Ohio woman whose remains were found in Franklin County in 2011 is seeking an early release. 


Katelyn Markham’s body was found in a wooded area in Cedar Grove following her disappearance.


Her fiance, John Carter, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in 2024 and was sentenced the maximum of 36 months in jail.


Attorneys for Carter filed a motion for an early release from jail on Wednesday.
