(METAMORA, Ind.) – Another unique attraction is coming to the Metamora area soon.
Metamora Gem Mine announced that they will have a replica dinosaurs exhibit at their second location.
Their original store known as ‘Metamora Gem Mine in the Village’ is on Main Street and remains open and operational as normal.
They plan to open a second location that is about 3 miles from Metamora that is called 'Metamora Gem Mine at Cracker Ridge'. It will be located at 22211 U.S. 52 in Laurel.
The dinosaur exhibit will be at the Cracker Ridge location when it opens later this spring. The business will announce an opening date in the near future.
Here are some photos of the dinosaurs provided by Metamora Gem Mine:
Metamora is home to several unique shops including an old-time photography business and the Guinness World Record holder for the most cookie jars.
Indiana Lt. Governor Micah Beckwith stopped by last week and had high praise for the canal town. Watch that story here.
