Milan's 'Basketball Town USA' tower will be dedicated on Thursday

(MILAN, Ind.) – A dedication ceremony will be held for the new Milan water tower on Thursday, July 3.

The basketball-themed tower pays homage to the 1954 Milan Indians who defeated a much larger school to win the Indiana high school basketball championship. 

A presentation and ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Following the ceremony, there will be light refreshments and an opportunity to meet with project leaders and town officials.
