Child had just received life-saving care
(PHILADELPHIA) – A medical jet carrying a young girl who recently received life-saving treatment in Philadelphia crashed after taking off Friday night.
The girl and her mother were two of six people onboard a flight leaving Philadelphia en route for Mexico.
There was a scheduled stop for fueling in Missouri.
Multiple videos show the plane plummeting from the sky, crashing into the ground and a massive explosion afterward. Several cars and homes caught fire as a result.
“At this time, we cannot confirm any survivors,” the air ambulance company said Friday.
The plane had reached an altitude of 1,650 feet before plunging.
Reports suggest that the plane had a descent of 11,000 feet per minute before crashing.
This is a developing national story with more updates expected today.
