New Marion VFD gets $10K grant for new equipment

(HOLTON, Ind.) – The New Marion Fire Department is receiving a $10,000 Ripley County Fire & Resilience Grant. 

The grant will go toward 12 new firefighting helmets, 12 flashlights, 12 safety vests and safety glasses.

The department is expressing their gratitude to those who made the grant possible. 

"Thank you for investing in our volunteer firefighters and helping us keep our first responders safe. Every improvement in our equipment means we are better prepared to answer the call and provide greater protection for our rural communities,” the department stated.
