Photos: Batesville, Lawrenceburg play day game Thursday

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) - There was a unique school spirit celebration at Batesville High School as the first-ever “Business Day Special” was held on Thursday. 


It took place during the school day and featured varsity baseball and softball games between the Bulldogs and the Lawrenceburg Tigers.


The initiative was created by the BHS Athletic Department in coordination with the school’s Student Council. 


First pitch was at 1:45 p.m. and all Batesville students were invited to watch the game at no cost. 


"A special thank you goes out to our Batesville Primary School students and staff, who walked over to cheer loudly and proudly for our teams," Superintendent Paul Ketcham said.


Luckily, the rain held off and it was a close game as the Tigers edged the Bulldogs 4-3.
