(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Honda gave a behind-the-scenes look on Friday at the production of the 2026 CR-V TrailSport which is being exclusively manufactured in Greensburg.
It’s the first Honda SUV to combine the rugged trail-ready design with the two-motor hybrid-electric system. The vehicle will be arriving soon to dealerships across North America.
This is the third vehicle that is manufactured at the Indiana Auto Plant in Greensburg, along with the Civic Hatchback and the Honda CR-V.
Both local and foreign media outlets were invited on a tour through the plant on Friday. The tour showcased how a vehicle is manufactured, from start to finish.
It also provided insight into how each Honda is tested to ensure it's safe, reliable and compliant with regulations before it leaves Greensburg.
Honda of Indiana produces approximately 250,000 vehicles a year and has 2,600 associates.
Approximately 35 percent of the workforce is from our local area.
Opened in 2008, the Indiana Auto Plant recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, building more than three million vehicles in that time.
