(RUSHVILLE, Ind.) – A major renovation project will soon take place at the Rush County Courthouse.
The project will include repairs and upgrades to walkways, entryways, and other paved surfaces around the courthouse.
“These improvements are crucial for ensuring safe passage for visitors and staff, as well as preserving the structural integrity of the grounds,” a press release from the Rush County Commissioners stated.
There will also be a significant landscaping overhaul where existing trees that have been identified as invasive will be replaced with new non-invasive species.
Project officials say this endeavor aims to enhance the safety, accessibility, and aesthetic appeal of the historic courthouse.
Schutte Excavating will conduct the concrete work while Vogel Florist will oversee the landscaping.
A project timetable has not been announced.
