Shoe drive created for South Ripley bowling team

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – A shoe drive fundraiser will raise money for the South Ripley Bowling Team.
Parents of team members have created the fundraiser and it is taking place through December 30.
Community members are asked to donate gently-worn, used or new shoes. Drop boxes will be set up at 4-Paws Boarding and Grooming as well as Pollards Bowling Alley.
They will then be shipped to developing countries worldwide through ‘FundsOrgs.com’ and the bowling team will receive money from the collected shoes.
“Bowling is one sport that is extremely overlooked within schools, so the more awareness we can bring and help we can get, will support the junior high and high school teams more than people can know,” said Heather Owens.
