Slick roads causing crashes in Franklin Co. Saturday

Drivers should you caution today

ree

(OLDENBURG, Ind.) - Franklin County deputies have been responding to a handful of different accidents due to slick spots on roads Saturday.

While the main roads appear to be mostly clear, there are slick slushy spots you might encounter on hills and corners on county roads.

A short time ago near Oldenburg, a driver escaped injury after his Dodge Charger lost control around a corner and hit a tree on St. Mary's Road.

Deputies say that is one of about six crashes they’ve responded to today.

We spoke with Dearborn County Dispatch as well who said North Dearborn Road, and roads with hills, have slick spots as well.

There will be another threat later today, as flooding will be a concern as more rain arrives.
