(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – A recent South Ripley graduate is preparing for his first year in college baseball.
Trenton Smith will attend Goshen College and major in Exercise Science.
He recently got a personalized gift as he was awarded a custom Wilson baseball glove.
The custom glove was made possible through a new program for college-bound athletes called Gloves for Grads.
“Gloves for Grads is designed to reward and celebrate student athletes that are going on to play baseball and softball in college,” according to the program.
It is organized by Pitch In For Baseball & Softball and Wilson Sporting Goods and coaches can nominate their players who are committed to play in college (DII and under) to receive a brand new A2000 glove, courtesy of Wilson Sporting Goods
