South Ripley grad named Center Grove head coach

(GREENWOOD, Ind.) – A South Ripley graduate has been named the next head coach of Center Grove boys basketball. 

Trent Moorhead is coming to Center Grove after leading Hauser to back-to-back Semi State appearances in 2025 and 2026. 

Moorhead accumulated a 79-27 record four seasons with the Jets. 

He will now go from a Class 1A head coach to Center Grove which is Class 4A and one of the largest schools in Indiana. 

He graduated from South Ripley in 2014 and is a third generation basketball coach, behind his grandfather, Gus, his father, Rob, and his brother is the current South Dearborn coach.
