Story time event to be held at Versailles book store on August 16

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – Families are invited to a story time event at the Novel Hearts bookstore in Versailles. 

It is hosted by the Ripley County Retired Teachers Association and the goal is to foster a love of reading and early literacy. 

The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 16. Novel Hearts is located at 133 Tyson Street.

A local teacher will read their favorite stories every hour beginning at 9:30 a.m. 

“This unique event offers a wonderful opportunity for children to connect with experienced educators and discover new literary adventures,” organizers said. 

“Ripley County Retired Teachers welcome this opportunity to partner with the Ripley County Community Foundation and Novel HeARTs to raise funds for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which delivers books monthly to Ripley County children registered from birth to age five, said Ellen Mulford, Ripley County Retired Teachers Association.
