(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Honda of Indiana Auto Plant (IAP) recently gave Greensburg Elementary fifth graders the opportunity to explore the vast range of manufacturing that exists locally.
The Honda Traveling Roadshow features multiple exhibits that give insight into the different parts of the manufacturing process including design, engineering, circuitry and electricity as well as assembly.
There is a race car simulator, assembly-style building exercises, laser-driven fire extinguisher, heat sensing light, IAP manufacturing process seminar and more.
“The goal is to give students more information about career paths available to them. We have the opportunity to show them some of the different pathways to pursue roles that exist in their backyard,” said IAP Workforce Partnerships Lead, Stephanie Spillman.
