Sunman-Dearborn Schools share five-year financial forecast

Focuses on the district’s financial health, priorities, and sustainability efforts

(ST. LEON, Ind.) – The Sunman-Dearborn Community School Corporation is sharing insight into the district’s financial health, strategic priorities, and sustainability efforts over the coming years. 

The school corporation is releasing its Five-Year Financial Forecast as part of the district’s commitment to transparency and responsible stewardship of community resources. 

Here are some of the key highlights of the forecast:

• Fiscal Responsibility: The forecast reflects a balanced approach to maintaining educational excellence while ensuring long-term financial stability. 

  
  

• Projected Budgets: Detailed financial projections for the Education Fund, Operations Fund, and Rainy Day Fund over the next five years. 

  
  

• Compliance: Meets the requirements of Senate Enrolled Act (SEA) 549, mandating an annual financial report assessing the district's fiscal condition. 

  
  

• Strategic Goals Alignment: Supports the district’s ongoing initiatives in student success, facility improvement, and innovative programming, as outlined in the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan.

• Educational Programs: Strengthening curriculum offerings and increasing access to technology.
