(SUNMAN, Ind.) – Three Sunman siblings are now able to go on vacation thanks to generous donations from the community.
Naomi, Noah and Mackenzie Gibson held a Snow Cone stand at their home at Trees Mobile Home Park in Sunman on Sunday.
They had been invited on vacation with a family friend, however were not able to afford it due to financial struggles.
Their mother, Sarah, had brain surgery in October and hasn't been able to return to work. Sarah has also been forced to care for her mother who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
People throughout Southeast Indiana heard about the situation and donated on Sunday.
The family confirmed on Monday that they have raised enough funds for the three kids to go on vacation.
“My sweet son said mom if there is any extra you can use it to fix your van and for any other expense you need. My kids know life is rough right now and this makes it a little easier especially with school starting,” Sarah Gibson said.
