Tanning, wellness salon opens in Greensburg

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Decatur County residents no longer have to travel out of town for tanning purposes.

Morgan Meyer has opened Hometown Tanning which offers top-of-the-line tanning beds as well as Red Light Therapy. It is located near Maurice's at 600 Greensburg Commons.

Meyer is a 2017 North Decatur graduate who also owns Morgan & Co hair salon in Greensburg. 

“I have a bunch of friends that have been traveling out of town to tan, and I had people coming into the hair salon saying that we should offer tanning but we didn’t have the space,” Meyer said. 

The entrepreneur decided to open a second business to offer tanning and wellness options. 

One of the options at Hometown Tanning is the cocoon, which is a bed that can be used for weight management, relaxation, better sleep, and muscle recovery.

“It offers Red Light, a sauna, Himalayan salt, aromatherapy, and vibrating plates for lymphatic drainage. We are not only doing tanning but also focused on the wellness side of things,” Meyer said. 

Hometown Tanning is open six days a week and their hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday’s and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. 

Meyer added, “Our mission is simple, we want to provide top-quality services in a comfortable upscale environment where every guest feels at home.”
