Watch: Milan wears 'Hickory' jerseys for first time ever

(MILAN, Ind.) – The Milan Indians paid homage to their past as well as the ionic ‘Hoosiers’ movie on Saturday night.
The team wore Hickory jerseys for the first time ever. The tribute coincides with the 40th anniversary of the film which debuted in 1986.
Milan senior Ethan Clark came up with the idea to wear the uniforms. Clark’s idea was embraced by the Milan ‘54 Museum as well as the school.
Milan 1954 championship member Roland Cutter was in attendance and was recognized at halftime.
Brad Long played “Buddy” in the movie and is also part of the ‘54 Museum. He was in attendance and says he always enjoys the opportunity to return to Milan.
With this being the 40th anniversary, the Milan ‘54 Museum is planning a celebration in November. They will provide more details as it gets closer.
