Women's Giving Circle gives back to four nonprofits

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The Ripley County Community Foundation held their annual Women’s Giving Circle on April 21.
The luncheon celebrates philanthropy while also addressing issues that predominately affect women and children.
During the event, there were four nonprofits that were awarded $2,000 each for specific projects. Here were the recipients:
Batesville United Methodist Church - Will use the grant to support its Luke 4:18 Free Meal Program, which serves over 225 individuals across Ripley County by providing meals, spiritual support, community connection, and practical assistance to those in need.
Milan CARES Inc. – will use this grant to support the Milan CARES Central 2026 Summer Camp - Milan CARES Central provides free out of school tutoring and mentoring, nourishing snacks, summer programming offering breakfast, lunch and weekend food bags, and monthly family engagement opportunities this program wraps at-risk youth and their families in consistency, care, and opportunity.
Milan Food Pantry – will use this grant to provide feminine hygiene products to its clients.
SEI Voices for Children, Inc. – will use this grant to purchase and assemble Comfort & Connection Kits, which will assist its CASA Volunteers in building connections with their clients.
Also during the event, a new Ripley County Women’s Giving Circle Scholarship was created.
The scholarship will be for a non-traditional college student in Ripley County who is a single parent and enrolled at Ivy Tech Community College.
