2 dead, 2 seriously hurt in crash in West Harrison

(WEST HARRISON, Ind.) – Two people were killed in a crash near West Harrison early Sunday morning.
The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the 2700 hundred block of Harrison-Brookville Road near the intersection with State Road 46.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said the crash involved a semi and a passenger vehicle.
The vehicle had four occupants with two being killed and two others being rushed to area hospitals with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of a semi sustained minor injuries, police said.
The Indiana State Police is investigating and the identities of those involved has not been released.
It has led to the area of U.S. 52/ Harrison-Brookville Road to be closed in both directions for several hours.
The crash occurred just two days after a local couple was killed in a two-car accident on State Road 350.
