Batesville church raises more than $6K for flood victims

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Donations continue to come in to support those impacted by the floods last month.
Members of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Batesville were given the opportunity to make extra offerings during two Sunday services.
It resulted in $6,248 being raised and donated to the Franklin County Community Foundation, which is overseeing donations county-wide.
The floods occurred nearly a month ago and donations are still pouring in.
On Sunday, a car show in Laurel resulted in more than $7,000 being raised for those who have been affected. You can read that story here.
